I'm sure we've all hear the radio & TV ads or saw billboards about Talent searches and making your Kid the next big Disney star right? Well, I came across this great video and Hollywood talent manager's YouTube channel. I for one can appreciate a good ol' fashion honest video post like hers and wanted to share it. Take a look and LEARN from what she has to say. There are tons of opportunities to make it in the entertainment industry, but it's all about timing and true abilities.

We personally got our girls signed with agents going to a Showcase Event, but it doesn't always work out that way. It's part luck, part timing (what an agent's looking for at the time), and true ability. And just because your kid doesn't get signed by an agent or manager doesn't make the event a scam. It could just mean your child wasn't ready, have enough training, or may not have the actual talent to be successful (sorry, this is often the case).

We're excited to have our first FAMILY audition tomorrow since moving to California! Family auditions don't come along very often. And when they do casting directors will sometimes pick one or two of you, then chose another outside (unrelated) sibling or parent to complete the "family" for the shot. It may be a long shot, but we're hoping for the best!

Marissa is back with us here in California while on winter break from college. As a father, I absolutely love spending time with my girls. We recently took a trip to Santa Monica Pier and had a blast! Here's a short video clip of our adventure. Enjoy your family and friends every moment you can.

We're excited that Mychala now has a new management team behind her as she prepares for Pilot Season in 2014! Crackerjack Management is a great addition to our team along with Avalon Artist Group in Los Angeles. After our initial talks it was quickly realized we had people who really worked hard for the kids they represent! Lea Ann & Debby were very excited to be working with Mychala as well.
Candace, our agent from Avalon, has been instrumental in connecting us great photographers and now our new management team! She's ALWAYS looking out for our best interest! We're blessed to have such a great group of people in our corner!

Mychala had another great workshop tonight at Actorsite in Sherman Oaks! Met with casting director Lindsay Hameyson of Cooper Casting. She cast Hawaii Five O. The cool thing is anyone who works on this show gets a free vacation in Hawaii!! Something tells me Shanda wouldn't mind that! Come on Mychala and "book a spot" already!! Too bad this was only a workshop and not an actual audition!

Mychala met Laura Marano, Debby Ryan, and Calum Worthy today at her Disney audition! I also ran into Madison Pettis! Her two auditions went very well!


Auditions are like job interviews. You get better and more prepared after each one. She had the opportunity to get prepared for her Disney audition yesterday with one of Hollywood's top acting coaches, Lori Lively!! She's an On-Set coach for tons of Disney & Nickelodeon shows! Keep up the good work Mychala!!
